The prime minister of the Tanzanian has visited the area when it is built a major electrical project WITHIN Rufiji River Waterfall which is famous by the name of Stiglers gorge. The Prime Minister visited the area, while on a two-day tour in Morogoro Region. He decided to visit and see for himself the project construction project located at the border of Morogoro District in Morogoro region and Rufiji district in Coast Region.
The prime minister received details of project development from the energy and mining minister Dr. Medard Kalemani, who said: - Road construction and bridge repairs reach the project area (the road from Kibiti to the project area and the road from Ubena Zomozi up to the project area) has reached 88%. The task of transmitting electricity into project area (kV 33) from Msamvu Morogoro which covers a distance of 69 kilometers. 2 has been completed and what is being done is now setting up columns in the project area. The task of building water resources for staff who will be in the project area has been completed by 100%. The task of building and expanding the railways in the Fuga area is expected to be completed this month. The task of promoting communication in the reserve area continues.
In his statement, Minister of Energy emphasized that the expectation is all activities will be completed by 10th of the October 2018.
Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Kassim inspected the project area of Rufiji Electrical Project (2100) and also also evaluated the construction of the Tazara railway station at Fuga which will be used to download the load during the implementation of the electrical project.
